Aave V3 Launches on Non-EVM Aptos Blockchain

Aave Labs has made significant strides in expanding its protocol's compatibility. The company has partnered with Chainlink to develop production-ready price feeds and has launched its V3 testnet on Aptos, a non-EVM compatible blockchain. This marks Aave's first foray into a non-EVM ecosystem.

Aave Labs has rewritten its base code in the Move language to ensure compatibility with Aptos. The test phase of Aave V3 on Aptos aims to evaluate security, stability, and performance. The mid-2024 TEMP CHECK vote showed overwhelming support, with 99.86% of the votes in favor of implementing Aave V3 on Aptos' mainnet.

Aptos, which uses the Move programming language, offers high performance and security. Community participation is encouraged during the test phase to identify potential vulnerabilities. The launch of Aave V3 on Aptos' mainnet is pending community approval and will follow the Aave Improvement Proposal process.

Aave Labs' collaboration with Chainlink and expansion onto the Aptos blockchain demonstrate the company's commitment to growth and innovation. With the successful launch of the V3 testnet on Aptos, the protocol is poised for further development and integration.
