Advancement in Artificial Intelligence for 2025: Proactive AI: Broadening Automation within the Production Line and Logistics Sector in Manhattan
At the recent Momentum 2025 event in Las Vegas, Manhattan Associates showcased key features and updates of their Agentic AI suite and Platform, highlighting the expansion of automation across the supply chain through intelligent digital agents integrated into their unified Manhattan Active® Platform.
Brian Kinsella, SVP of Product Management, discussed real-world applications of unified supply chain execution, with over two dozen customers moving toward platform-wide adoption. The event served as a platform for Manhattan Associates to underscore their commitment to cloud-native, API-first solutions and to demonstrate the scalability and robustness of their platform, processing over 156 million API calls daily.
The Agentic AI Suite, introduced as a collection of digital agents powered by large language models (LLMs), operates within Manhattan’s microservices architecture to enable real-time, autonomous decision-making. This reduces manual tasks and enhances responsiveness across operational workflows.
Five initial agents have been released, including the Intelligent Store Manager, Labor Optimizer Agent, Wave Inventory Research Agent, Contextual Data Assistant, and Virtual Configuration Consultant. These agents are already in production, coordinating task management and handling thousands of user queries daily.
In addition, Manhattan Associates unveiled Agent Foundry™, a framework for custom agent development, allowing organizations to create tailored AI agents to address specific operational needs. The event also marked the introduction of Enterprise Promise and Fulfill, a solution that supports enterprise-wide inventory visibility and real-time order orchestration.
New partnerships with Google and Shopify aim to enhance AI-powered commerce and deployment flexibility. Manhattan Active Solutions are now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace, making the platform more accessible to enterprise customers.
Eric Clark, the new President and CEO of Manhattan, emphasised the platform's single-codebase architecture as a differentiator. The event provided insights into Manhattan's strategic direction, technology roadmap, and leadership transition.
The Agentic AI digital agents are designed to augment, not replace, the workforce, improving efficiency and reducing routine manual work. The focus is on AI deployment that is practical and directly supports human decision-making and workflows, rather than experimental or abstract AI. This strategic approach ensures long-term operational alignment, ensuring that AI capabilities serve comprehensive supply chain needs.
Integrated forecasting, labor optimization, and inventory planning modules are included in the Manhattan Active Platform, positioning it as a sophisticated, scalable solution for automating and optimizing complex supply chain and commerce operations with intelligent agents designed for specific tasks and workflows.
