Airbus and Airtelis have agreed on a contract for H145 helicopters, aiming to scale up offshore wind operations.

Airbus and Airtelis agree on a deal for H145 helicopters, aiming to expand their offshore wind energy ventures together.

The Airbus H145 helicopter, renowned for its versatility and performance, has been selected by Airtelis' subsidiary Oya Vendeé Helicopteères for support in the offshore wind industry. This choice is a testament to the H145's significant transport capacity and outstanding hover performance, ideal for hoisting operations.

The latest version of the Airbus H145 features a five-bladed rotor, increasing its useful load by 150 kg. This enhancement adds to the helicopter's suitability for supporting maintenance and logistics tasks in offshore wind environments.

Laurent Giolitti, Executive President of Airtelis, praised the H145, stating that it has been effective during the construction of the Yeu Noirmoutier offshore energy platform off the coast of Nantes. Baudoin Marraud des Grottes, Head of Sales Western Europe at Airbus, commented that the Airbus H145 has proven itself the preferred choice for offshore wind operators due to these very reasons.

The H145 is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and is equipped with a full authority digital engine control (FADEC) and the Helionix digital avionics suite, which includes a high performance 4-axis autopilot. This equipment increases safety and reduces pilot workload, making the H145 an ideal companion for complex operations at sea.

The new bearingless main rotor design of the H145 simplifies maintenance operations and enhances flight comfort. The helicopter's simplicity of design eases maintenance operations and improves serviceability and reliability, factors that are crucial in the demanding offshore environment.

Airtelis is looking to expand their offshore operations with the H145 helicopter. With over 1,700 H145 family helicopters in service worldwide, accumulating close to 8 million flight hours collectively, the H145's reputation for reliability and adaptability is well-established.

Moreover, the H145 is the quietest helicopter in its class, with a particularly low acoustic footprint. Its CO2 emissions are also the lowest among its competitors, making it an environmentally friendly choice for the renewable energy sector.

Airbus is proud and thankful to have the trust of Airtelis for their offshore operations with their helicopters. Airtelis looks forward to expanding offshore operations with the H145 helicopter and providing support to the renewable energy market.

The renewable energy sector is appreciative of the H145 helicopter's environmental friendliness, as it boasts the lowest CO2 emissions among its competitors. Financing this technology will help streamline the industry's transition towards sustainable energy solutions. Airtelis is set to strengthen their renewable energy operations with the H145 helicopter, given its dominance in the market with over 1,700 units in service worldwide.
