ANSES Boosts Social Security Payments: Pensions, Allowances Up 1.62% in August

ANSES has announced a significant increase in social security payments, affecting both pensions and family allowances. The changes, set to come into effect in August, include a 1.62% rise in payments and additional bonuses for certain beneficiaries.

The minimum pension has risen to $317,305.37, thanks to a $70,000 bonus. However, maximum pension beneficiaries, who receive $2,114,977.60, do not qualify for this bonus. The PNC for Old Age or Disability has also increased to $290,013.75 with the inclusion of the $70,000 bonus.

The PNC for mothers of seven children now stands at $384,405.37, with an extra payment included. The PUAM has risen to $321,444.30, boosted by a reinforcement bonus. Beneficiaries receiving amounts between the minimum and maximum pension limits will receive a proportional extra amount.

ANSES has confirmed that payments will be made between August 22 and 28, with the increase covering both regular payments and the special bonus. However, the official authorization and disbursement of the bonus may be delayed until the legislative process is completed, if the ANSES special bonus law text is not promulgated by August 2025.

The ANSES payment increases, effective in August, aim to provide additional support to beneficiaries. The changes include a 1.62% rise and extra bonuses for certain categories. While most beneficiaries will see an increase, the timing and full extent of the special bonus remain subject to the legislative process.
