Aschaffenburg's VHS Kicks Off Energy-Efficient Building Lectures on Sept 18
Aschaffenburg's VHS is hosting a series of lectures on energy-efficient building and renovation. The first lecture, 'Green Buildings - Improving Climate at Your Own Home', kicks off on September 18, 2025, at 7 pm. The lectures are free and will be held in-person with simultaneous streaming.
The lectures will cover a range of topics. The first will delve into the thermal insulation of buildings, with a focus on attics, and will present current funding programs for efficient renovations. The second lecture, 'Insulating Your Roof Properly', will take place on September 25, 2025, at 7 pm. It will discuss the latest developments in building and vegetation technology for roof and facade greening, and the Aschaffenburg funding program for building greening.
The third lecture, 'Heat Pumps Are Not Witchcraft', on October 23, 2025, at 7 pm, will discuss the selection and planning of heat pumps. It will also introduce the regional campaign 'Home Advantage: Energy-Efficient Renovation in the Untermain'. All lectures will be held in the large hall of the VHS and will focus on building, renovating, and energy.
The city of Aschaffenburg's energy discussions will take place from September to November 2025. The lectures aim to educate and empower residents to make their homes more energy-efficient and sustainable.
