Avoid hiding your savings at home, Kazakhstan citizens are warned

In the heart of Kazakhstan, a security drill named "Apartment" took place. Residents are urged to adhere to basic safety guidelines to shield themselves from potential break-ins, according to Kanat Nurmagambetov, deputy head of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, as reported by Total.kz.

Taking the safety of homes into their own hands is crucial for citizens, emphasized Nurmagambetov. Here's some advice to ensure your home stays secure while you're away: keep windows and balcony doors shut, install multiple secure locking systems on entrances, and fortify your home with advanced electronic security devices. To safeguard your hard-earned savings, it's probably best to store cash in securely bolted safes or take advantage of bank services.

One of the most efficient defensive strategies against such misdeeds is to keep your home under centralized remote surveillance.

The Ministry revealed that routine operational and preventive actions are carried out consistently. From May 19 to 21, a large-scale drill called "Apartment" unfolded nationwide. During this period, 238 apartment burglaries were resolved, and 294 apartment burglars were held accountable, including 22 criminal gangs.

"In Kostanay, two local repeat offenders were nabbed for executing four apartment heists by prying open vinyl windows. The damages totaled over 1.5 million tenge. It turns out they swiftly sold the nabbed jewels via pawnshops. Over 1,500 locations trading in stolen goods were scrutinized. Moreover, eight wanted crooks and 67 suspected individuals were apprehended," Nurmagambetov stated.

When it comes to safeguarding your home, general safety measures can involve a range of measures like installing alarm systems, implementing access control solutions, keeping valuables concealed, and promoting community vigilance. Connecting with local law enforcement or security experts in Kazakhstan could provide advice tailored to the "Apartment" exercise.
