Aztec Corporation names new product leader
In a significant move, the Aztec Group, a leading provider of fund, corporate, and private client services, has announced the appointment of Sam Metland as its new Head of Product and Propositions. Metland, who previously held senior roles at Citco Group, will be joining Aztec from his most recent position as Head of Solutions Engineering at Citco.
Metland's extensive experience in the financial services industry is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge to Aztec. He has held senior product and strategy roles at JP Morgan and Brown Brothers Harriman before joining Citco Group, where he served as Executive Vice President, Head of Private Equity Product. Prior to his tenure at Citco, Metland was the founder and CEO of the fintech company Wealthify.
James Gow, Group Managing Director at Aztec Group, has stated that Metland's appointment marks an important milestone in Aztec's transformation. Gow believes that Metland's deep expertise in product strategy and experience in scaling global financial services businesses will be invaluable to Aztec.
Aztec is currently evolving and expanding its propositions globally, and Gow has emphasised that the company is investing heavily in its people, technology, and clients. Metland will lead the group's product strategy and will work closely with Aztec's senior leadership and product teams across Europe and the U.S. He will be based in London.
Metland's primary responsibility at Aztec will be to oversee the development and enhancement of the company's propositions. Gow is confident that Metland's appointment will strengthen Aztec's position in the market and help the company to continue its growth trajectory.
With Metland on board, Aztec is poised to make significant strides in its product offerings and further establish itself as a leading player in the financial services industry. Metland's appointment underscores Aztec's commitment to attracting top talent and investing in its future.
