BERGER Bau SE Honored for 120-Year Commitment to Environmental Protection

BERGER Bau SE, a 120-year-old family business, has been recognised for its commitment to environmental protection. The company, with around 3,000 employees across Europe, has received a participation certificate from the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact.

Based in Passau, BERGER Bau SE generates an annual turnover of €700 million. It has been certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management standard since 1998, demonstrating its long-term commitment to sustainability.

The company's environmental efforts are not just words. BERGER Bau SE has been actively involved in climate protection for years. It focuses on renewable energies like combined heat and power plants, photovoltaic systems, and district heating. Additionally, it explores future-oriented topics such as electromobility and modern building technology. Despite this, there are no specific recent environmental measures committed to achieving social climate change goals.

BERGER Bau SE's participation certificate was presented by Bavarian State Minister Thorsten Glauber and Mayor Andreas Rother, acknowledging the company's dedication to environmental protection.
