Budgetary income for Omsk district increased by deputies

At the recent huddle of the Oмский Municipal District Council, representatives tackled 11 matters, covering aspects like the implementation of the economic development program, shifts in zoning laws, and updates to master plans. A key point under discussion was the amendment to the 2025-2027 budget plan, which saw an increase in the revenue sector of the municipal coffers.

The main driveder of this discussion was Olga Sidorenko, head of the finance committee. Olga has also been in the spotlight at past public hearings, discussing the district's 2024 budget, which saw a notable success with an over 4 billion ruble income and a surplus of 1.2 million rubles.

With the new found financial boost, funds will be steered towards repair work and machinery procurement in childcare centers and schools, a reserve fund creation, utility expenses for cultural institutions, and the preservation of roads.

This annual budget, as in years past, prioritizes the social and cultural sectors. In 2024, an estimated 68.7% of overall expenditure was allocated towards these domains. Salaries of employees in public institutions were fully accounted for, alongside due attention being given to the housing and utilities sector.

In terms of communal services, a local water purification plant was acquired in Krutaya Gorka, water intake well repairs were carried out in Melnichnoe, and project and survey work for water network construction in Novomoskovka and Rostovka were completed. Subsidies were also extended to municipal corporations managing various projects.

Olga emphasized the achievement of primary objectives set during the initial budget process, with all planned socially responsible commitments fulfilled. Looking ahead, the primary focus will be on ensuring economic and financial resilience, and the effective implementation of fiscal and tax policies.
