A company registered in Bulgaria, with no economic activity or turnover in the country, has been involved in a serious case of wage withholding and abuse. The company operator, whose name remains unknown, was convicted and sentenced to a prison term of one year and eight months.

Over a period of two years, the convicted individual failed to register employees with the relevant social security authority, evading payment of employee and employer contributions amounting to over 125,500 euros. The company, which operated under the jurisdiction of the Main Customs Office Landshut, was found guilty of withholding and misappropriating wages in 46 separate cases.

The Bulgarian-registered company used a letterbox address, indicating a lack of genuine economic activity in the country. Despite the conviction, there is no publicly available information on the name of the person convicted in connection with these offenses.

The judgment against the company operator is final, with the convicted individual receiving a prison sentence of one year and eight months. The failure to register employees and pay social security contributions has resulted in a significant financial loss, with the total amount unpaid exceeding 125,500 euros.
