"Business energy efficiency discourse held at Hettich's Kirchlengern location" - pragmatic deliberations on smart energy solutions for corporations

In the Herford district, the 'Business Network Climate Protection' has been active since September 16, 2025. This initiative, in collaboration with the intermunicipal economic development agency and the Climate Protection Management of the Herford district, aims to foster discussions on sustainability and climate protection among local businesses.

Recently, the 'Practical Talk on Clever Energy Solutions in Companies' was held at the Hettich Group in Kirchlengern. The event, which attracted over 50 entrepreneurs, was a resounding success, according to Jan Huettner, economic developer in the Herford district.

Philip Kleineberg from the Herford company ProElectrify presented practical solutions for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), focusing on bidirectional charging, commercial storage, and Smart Energy Management. Daniel Menke from the Hettich Group spoke about photovoltaics, heat recovery, and a pilot project for reducing natural gas consumption.

The energy market is becoming more volatile, and fossil fuels are becoming scarcer. Therefore, smart, flexible solutions are increasingly important for long-term action. Sustainability and a 'green' image are also becoming increasingly important factors for partners and customers.

The Herford district encourages local companies to apply concrete solutions for sustainability and energy efficiency in their daily work. The recent event was not only valuable for global players but also for SMEs and smaller businesses. Participants asked questions and took away valuable insights for their own companies.

Lively discussions and networking were noticed at these events. If you're interested in future events with interesting topics, you can contact Sonja Hauptmann at 05221 182 405 -0 or [email protected].

The Head of Department for Regional Development and Climate Protection at the Herford district, Birgit Rehberg, also considered the event a success. The intermunicipal economic development agency can provide information about future events.

In conclusion, the Herford district is taking active steps towards a sustainable future, and local businesses are encouraged to join this movement. By adopting energy-efficient practices and sustainable solutions, businesses can not only contribute to the environment but also reap the benefits of cost savings and a positive 'green' image.
