Cachar District Launches Orunodoi 3.0: 1.8L Women to Get ₹1,250 Each
Cachar District Administration is set to launch Orunodoi 3.0, a state-wide programme aimed at supporting needy families. The event will take place at 1,575 venues across the district, benefiting 1,81,438 women with a direct transfer of ₹1,250 each.
DC Mridul Yadav, IAS, praised the initiative, stating it reflects the Chief Minister's vision of direct benefit to deserving women and families. The Silchar Municipal Corporation will have the highest number of beneficiaries, with 29,192 women set to receive aid. Other areas like Udharbond, Borkhola, Kalain, and Dholai-Narsingpur will also benefit significantly. The administration has ensured transparency by reconciling initial and final beneficiary numbers. Moreover, arrangements for drinking water, medical units, power backup, and police deployment have been made for smooth crowd management.
The launch of Orunodoi 3.0 in Cachar is expected to provide much-needed relief to over 1.8 lakh women, contributing to their empowerment and well-being.
