Two new KitKat Chunky bars, Chunky Funky and Salted Caramel, hit supermarket shelves last month, joining the ranks of popular chocolate treats. Meanwhile, Cadbury has announced an exciting new addition to its Christmas range – a Dairy Milk Lotus Biscoff Advent Calendar and a sharing 350g tablet bar.

The Dairy Milk Lotus Biscoff Advent Calendar, priced around £7.79, contains 24 chocolates – 12 plain milk chocolate chunks and 12 with Biscoff pieces and spread. The sharing tablet offers a larger chocolate option for fans of the flavor profile introduced with this collaboration.

Both products will be available at major retailers in September, ahead of the festive season. While specific retailers are not yet confirmed, it is expected that larger UK grocery and confectionery retailers will stock these items, following the widespread distribution of Mondelēz International’s festive range in outlets such as supermarkets and convenience stores.

Cadbury Gifts Direct is currently selling the Advent Calendar online for pre-order. Further retail availability will likely be confirmed closer to the Christmas season.

In other chocolate news, Cadbury discontinued its Bournville fingers earlier this year, much to the disappointment of many. However, shoppers have been going wild for the limited edition Cadbury Twirl White Dipped bars.

For those looking to save money on chocolate, consumer reporter Sam Walker suggests comparing prices on websites like Trolley.co.uk and going own brand. Buying bigger bars of chocolate can often be cheaper per 100g. Additionally, shopping around for reduced products, such as those marked with yellow stickers, can help save money.

Nestle brought out Milkybar Crispy Cookie sharing bags for £2, and both the new KitKat Chunky bars, Chunky Funky and Salted Caramel, are now available in supermarkets. Mondelez, which owns Cadbury, will reportedly roll out new designs for its Cadbury Roses and Heroes next month.
