If you have a UAN, you can easily check your EPF balance through the UMANG app, the official EPFO portal, or by giving a missed call to 011-22901406. For those without a UAN, you can still access your balance by contacting your employer's HR department or visiting the nearest EPFO office. Additionally, sending an SMS with 'EPFOHO UAN ENG' to 7738299899 can also provide your balance.
Both employees and employers contribute 12 per cent of the employee's salary to the EPF every month. The UAN, assigned by the EPFO, links all PF accounts of an individual, making it easier to track balances.
