City Approves New Fire Station at 'Am Osterberge', Public Invited to Comment
The city has announced plans to construct a new fire station on the current sports field at 'Am Osterberge'. The city's construction committee has approved the draft, and the public is invited to participate in the process.
The planning aims to legally enable the new construction, with the area designated as a 'general public use area with the purpose of fire station'. This will replace the previous sports field. The city's construction committee, under the leadership of an unnamed official, approved this plan on June 4, 2025.
To the north of 'Am Osterberge', a 'mixed-use area' will be established, as per § 6 of the Building Ordinance (BauNVO). The public can have their say in this building code procedure from September 29 to October 31, 2025. The city administration has published the draft of the building plan No. 1/60 on the district's website for public review.
The city's plans to build a fire station at 'Am Osterberge' are progressing. The public is encouraged to participate in the decision-making process, with the building code procedure open for comments until the end of October 2025.
