Concord Label Group elevates Fred Gillham to the position of Chief Operating Officer
Fred Gillham has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer for Concord Label Group, a significant move that will see him scale up the frontline business and continue to develop the company's catalogue marketing.
Gillham, who has been with Concord since 2019, will be based in the company's Los Angeles office. He expressed his gratitude towards Tom Becci, the chief executive of Concord Label Group, for the opportunity in his new role.
In his previous role as Managing Director of the UK subsidiary of Concord Label Group, Gillham opened the first UK label group office. He oversaw artist campaigns including Ghost, Chase Atlantic, The Offspring, Tears For Fears, Tommy Richman, and Sierra Ferrell.
Gillham's responsibilities now extend to Concord's label services teams, which enable labels to maintain global responsibility for their release campaigns. The labels under Concord's management include Concord Records, Easy Eye Sound, Fearless Records, Loma Vista Recordings, Pulse Records, Rounder Records, Concord Theatricals Recordings, Craft Recordings, and the Kidz Bop brand.
Gillham's unique set-up and approach aim to make Concord more competitive in the market. He works closely with the labels to ensure a coordinated plan covering every major market. His ability to understand and anticipate artists' needs and build great teams has been praised by Becci, who stated that Gillham is perfectly suited for his new role.
Before joining Concord, Gillham spent over a decade at Universal Music Group. His previous roles within Concord and Universal Music Group have not been specified in this announcement.
