Construction alert for rehabilitation workers: Road in Gütersloh will be closed for a fortnight
News Article: Renovation of Nordhorn City Ring in Gütersloh
The city of Gütersloh has announced a major renovation project for the Nordhorn city ring, set to commence on August 18 and continue for approximately two weeks. The renovation aims to improve road conditions, traffic flow, and safety in the area.
During the renovation, drivers can expect lane closures and partial or full closures at certain sections of the city ring. However, traffic will still be able to access Edison Street, and the closure will not affect traffic reports from the Guetersloh district.
To ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction, detours have been set up. Those coming from the city center will continue straight on the B61, then onto the Osnabrucker Landstrasse, and finally back onto the Nordhorn city ring via the Huelsbrockstrasse. For those coming from Bielefeld, the detour will be via the Osnabrucker Landstrasse, Nordhorner Strasse, and Huelsbrockstrasse to access the Nordhorn city ring.
The city of Gütersloh has requested understanding regarding the temporary road closures and has ensured that detours are appropriately signed. Residents can reach Autohaus Mense and Fischer Fertigungstechnik via Robert-Bosch-Strasse, and access to these businesses is guaranteed at all times.
The renovation work includes resurfacing, upgrading intersections, and improving pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. While the exact duration and schedule of the renovation are not yet confirmed, it is expected to take several weeks to months, depending on the scope. Construction hours may primarily be during the daytime, with some night work to minimize daytime disruption.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, check the official Gütersloh city or traffic department announcements, local news, and signage around the construction zones. If you need specific detour maps or timeline details, the city’s official website or local government offices would be the best resource.
The city of Gütersloh appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation during this renovation period. It is recommended to avoid the area altogether during the renovation to ensure a safer and smoother journey.
