Cotswolds Project to Deliver 15 Sustainable Affordable Homes

A joint venture between Cottsway Housing Association, Cotswold District Council, and Helix Partnership Homes is set to transform the Davies Road site in the Cotswolds. The project, which received funding from Homes England and The National Lottery Community Fund, will deliver 15 sustainable, affordable homes for social rent.

The Davies Road site, allocated for development in the Council's Local Plan, will now feature an 'all affordable' scheme with enhanced sustainability standards. The homes, a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom properties, will be equipped with sustainable features such as air-source heating, solar roof panels, electric vehicle charging points, and enhanced insulation. Helix Group has provided construction finance for the project, which is set to begin next month and complete by summer 2024.

The project is funded by Homes England, with £1.275m allocated and an additional £580,500 from Section 106 contributions. The National Lottery Community Fund also contributed to the financing of these 15 new low-carbon homes in Moreton-in-Marsh. Once completed, the homes will be available for social rent at around 55-60% of local market rents.

The construction of 15 sustainable, affordable homes in Moreton-in-Marsh is set to begin soon, thanks to a collaborative effort between Cottsway Housing Association, Cotswold District Council, and Helix Partnership Homes. These homes, featuring various sustainable features, will provide low-carbon living options for those in need of affordable housing.
