County Council Leader Pursues Nationwide Unrest

In the picturesque town of Neustadt/Ehrenberg, Rhein-Lahn District, the economic reception of the Neuwied district took place, bringing together representatives from business, politics, and administration. The event, hosted by Bauunternehmung Willi Prangenberg GmbH and Prangenberg Roofing GmbH, provided a valuable opportunity to discuss current developments, set new impulses, and shape perspectives for the future of the region [1].

Approximately 250 guests were invited to attend the event, which was supplemented by Sparkasse Neuwied, Rhein-Zeitung, Süwag AG, and Syna. The large stage for the engaged and powerful AH-Singers of DJK Fernthal created the perfect setting for the day's proceedings.

Landrat Achim Hallerbach, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of securing skilled workers, particularly those of Generation Z. He outlined a four-point program for maintaining the district's economic position, which included a reduction in bureaucracy, a new error culture, a return to traditional values, and smart and targeted investments [2].

Sven Eßwein, a guest speaker, discussed the mindset of Generation Z in his lecture "Generation Z - Understand the mindset and worldview of the young". According to Eßwein, the values and goals of Generation Z are shifting towards meaningful work, self-realization, and fun. Generation Z has a digital-native, fluid, and socially conscious mindset shaped by rapid technological change, economic instability, and global challenges [3].

Esswein also highlighted the strong connection between Generation Z and the internet, suggesting companies should utilize digital platforms to attract skilled workers [3]. He emphasized that companies can attract skilled Gen Z workers by recognizing and engaging with this mindset. This involves shifting from traditional top-down communication to co-creating with young talent, embracing their demand for authenticity and inclusion, and offering flexible, meaningful career opportunities that align with their values [1][3].

The Prangenberg company management provided a sympathetic and authentic presentation of their business in their own management, demonstrating their commitment to the values Landrat Hallerbach advocated for, including diligence, discipline, predictability, and reliability [1].

The Crafts Alliance in Neuwied was represented in the organizing team by the District Craftsmen's Association of Rhein-Westerwald, IHK Koblenz, and the Economic Development Corporation of the Neuwied district (WFG) [1]. IHK Regional Business Manager Kristina Kutting and Kreiswirtschaftsförderer Harald Schmillen summarized the event as a successful format for discussing current developments, setting new impulses, and shaping perspectives for the future of the region [1].

Kreishandwerksmeister Ralf Winn praised the hosts and invited the distinguished guests to network in the specially set-up and culinary event course after his laudation [1]. The attendance and recognition showed that the event could once again be considered a success. Landrat Achim Hallerbach urged the guests to act to shape the future of Germany's economy [2].

The Rhein-Lahn district holds a prominent position as the headquarters of global players and hidden champions [1]. Understanding and embracing the mindset of Generation Z can help companies attract and retain the talented young workers they need to thrive in the digital age. By fostering participatory, inclusive, and authentic environments that support evolving careers and continuous learning, companies can create a workplace culture that resonates with Generation Z, enabling them to feel valued as current change agents rather than mere future assets [3].

Other attendees at the event, such as Sparkasse Neuwied, Süwag AG, and Syna, also have a significant role in finance and business within the region. The Prangenberg company's commitment to traditional values like diligence, discipline, and reliability aligns well with the mindset of Generation Z, a demographic that prioritizes meaningful work and self-realization.
