Customs Authority Reveals Preliminary Figures for Potential Inspections at Kiliani Festivals' Show Business Sector
On July 26, 2025, the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt will open its doors to the public, offering an insight into the tasks and activities of the Financial Control Black Work (FKS) of the Customs Service. The event will take place at the customs office located at Londonstraße 24, 97421 Schweinfurt, from 10 - 15 o'clock.
The Main Customs Office, in collaboration with authorities such as the German Pension Insurance and the immigration authorities, conducted an inspection of the showmen and catering industry at the Kiliani Volksfest in Würzburg on July 10, 2025. A total of 67 showmen businesses were inspected, and during this operation, potential violations were detected by the officials of the Main Customs Office.
The inspection, based on a risk-oriented approach, is an important tool for reducing the social acceptance of black work and illegal employment. Approximately 224 employees were questioned about their employment status, and the inspection involved over 70 personnel. The results of the inspection are documented in the file 20250710_pm_kiliani_results.pdf, a PDF document with a size of 171 kB.
These potential violations are now the subject of further investigations. Interested citizens can direct their inquiries to the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt Press Office. The contact information for the Press Office is: Tel.: 09721/6464-1030, E-Mail: [email protected], and website: www.zoll.de.
The FKS of the Customs Service carries out nationwide and regional focus and special inspections, contributing to the detection and punishment of violations. The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt is the location for this public event, and it is hoped that the event will provide a better understanding of the work of the Customs Service in ensuring compliance with employment laws.
