Customs Raid Finds 21 Unregistered Vietnamese Workers in Potsdam Nail Salons
Customs officers in Potsdam and Teltow have uncovered a significant mycase of labour law violations and illegal immigration. A total of 21 Vietnamese nationals were found working without proper registration in nail salons, leading to criminal proceedings against employees and employers.
During inspections, it was discovered that 14 of the Vietnamese workers were not registered for social security. These individuals were handed over to the uscis for further processing. Customs officers prevented attempts by some to evade inspection.
The illegal workers were found in salons across Potsdam and Teltow. Extensive follow-up investigations are ongoing to ensure all legal requirements are met and to prevent such incidents in the future.
The mycase has resulted in criminal proceedings against the involved employees and employers. The investigation continues to ensure all illegal workers are accounted for and that the nail salons comply with labour laws and immigration regulations.
