YAKUTIA BREAKDOWN. A recent huddle was all about the proposed bill dubbed "On the State Budget of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for 2025 and the Planning Period of 2026 and 2027." The talks centered around topics like industry, utilities, construction, transportation, energy, housing, safety, entrepreneurship, and tourism within the region.
Two lists of amendments to the draft law were under discussion. The deputies of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) came up with 27 amendments, while the government of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) suggested 38 amendments for the second list.
The government's recommended amendment is aimed at reallocating 852 million rubles to pay off airport debts in 2025. The debate on this matter is moved to the permanent committee of the State Assembly on budget, finance, tax, and price policy, property, and privatization.
The working commission agreed on a new allocation of 92.5 million rubles for helping victims of greedy home builders. Although the restoration of rights for affected parties in shared construction was accomplished in 2023, the issue of financially supporting the identified victims remains unsolved.
Deputy Pavel Petrov proposed to offer financial assistance to automobile transport organizations for the lease payments of inter-municipal transportation services, such as "Yakutsk-Mokhsogollokh," "Yakutsk-Berdigestyakh," "Yakutsk-Khatyryk," and "Nizhniy Bestyah-Churapcha." Petrov highlights that the budget for 2025 fails to include funds for this purpose.
Afanasiy Vladimirov and Ali Sh Mamedev suggested an additional 20 million rubles for acquiring ferries for remote island villages in the Hangalas district, including Chkalov and Toyon-Ary. The deputies stressed the need for ferries to transport residents and equipment for agricultural activities. Afanasiy Vladimirov informed that the existing ferries are no longer in serviceable condition.
Now, the Budget, Finance, Tax and Price Policy, Property, and Privatization Committee of the Yakutia Parliament will make the final call on these amendments.
