Each 2025 Formula 1 Racing Car Design Unveiled during Celebration in London
In a groundbreaking moment for Formula 1, all 10 teams gathered at London's The O2 Arena on February 18 for a historic evening, marking the unique celebration of the sport's 75th anniversary. The exclusive event, attended by 15,000 engaged fans, was a melting pot of music, entertainment, and high-octane excitement.
The night's main attractions were, of course, the unveiling of the new competitors, set to seize the spotlight in the thrilling 2025 season. The evening featured a lively atmosphere, with performances by American country singer Kane Brown, rapper mgk, U.K. pop legends Take That, and composer Bryan Tyler – renowned for creating the F1 theme music. The evening was expertly hosted by London-born comedian and actor, Jack Whitehall.
Embracing the Future
The showstoppers of the night undoubtedly were the new contenders, all eager to make their presence felt on the track.
Sauber's C45
Febrile anticipation filled the air as Sauber presented their brand-new C45. The team's drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto, shared the stage with chief operating and technical officer Mattia Binotto to unveil the car's striking green and black design.
Williams' FW47
With a nod to its rich heritage, Williams introduced its fresh FW47 livery. Team principal James Vowles, Alex Albon, and new recruit Carlos Sainz gracefully took the stage to reveal the car's transition from the classic navy to Atlassian's signature blue – a subtle yet impactful nod to the team's iconic history.
Racing Bulls' VCARB 02
Comedian Munya Chawawa brought laughter and enthusiasm to the unveiling with a skit, followed by the revelation of the Racing Bulls' VCARB 02 by drivers Yuki Tsunoda and rookie Isack Hadjar. The all-white livery, accentuated by a pop of yellow on the nose, stood out among the crowd.
Haas' VF-25
Intriguing partnerships and iconic designs characterized the performance of Haas at the event. Team principal Stefano Domenicali, rookie Oliver Bearman, and Esteban Ocon took the stage to reveal the team's new transport – a classic black and white car design that marries familiarity and novelty.
Alpine's A525
Alpine's eye-catching entrance left an indelible impression with a DJ set that punctuated the arrival of Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan, outfitted in a contemporary update of their love-it-or-hate-it pink and blue colors.
Aston Martin's AMR25
Aston Martin pulled out all the stops, starting off with a James Bond-inspired presentation followed by a captivating live performance from star musician Tems, as Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso eventually appeared on stage to unveil their sleek new machine.
Mercedes' W16
Unsurprisingly, Mercedes retained their signature black and silver design with Petronas green accents on the W16, as team principal Toto Wolff looked on, beaming with pride. New team leader George Russell and Italian rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli joined him on stage, with the latter expressing his gratitude and excitement.
Red Bull's RB21
Red Bull brought the energy with a truck display, interacting with fans as Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson joined team principal Christian Horner on stage to present the team's familiar blue, red, and yellow livery.
Ferrari's SF-25
Anticipation hung heavy in the air as Ferrari unveiled their much-hyped SF-25. Any lingering tension dissipated when Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and team principal Frederic Vasseur took to the stage, sporting a darker shade of red and amplifying celebrated HP branding, incorporating a massive white stripe with a blue HP logo – a bold yet elegant move.
McLaren's MCL39
The reigning champions, McLaren, saved the best for last, revealing their revered papaya color with an anthracite and teal twist – an attention-grabbing take on their iconic design. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will continue the team's defending championship efforts with this trend-setting livery.
With all the liveries revealed, several teams – including McLaren – are planning solo launch events before making their way to Bahrain for pre-season testing, spanning from February 26-28. The countdown to the 2025 season is now truly underway, promising an electrifying ride for the next generation of champions.
During the festivities, singer Kane Brown contributed to the evening's entertainment, performing some of his popular country songs for the delighted fans. Later, rapper mgk took the stage, turning up the energy with his lively beats and dynamic performance.
The Formula 1 teams didn't neglect the musical aspect of the celebration, either. Composer Bryan Tyler, renowned for creating the F1 theme music, showcased his talents, leaving the crowd in awe with his magnificent instrumental pieces.
