Laying the Groundwork for Winter: Powering Up Hangalas District
The team at Pokrovsky REP, part of RusHydro Group, is gearing up to handle the winter's hefty power demands in Hangalas District, a rapidly developing region known for its local tourism and agriculture.
In alignment with the 2025 repair program, 17 poles on the 110kV transmission lines L-113 and L-114 ("Tabaga - Mokhsogollokh") have received an upgrade. more than 50 hectares of right-of-way have been cleared, and progress is being made to swap out vibration dampers on these lines.
Alexei Kuklin, the chief engineer at Pokrovsky REP, has reported that bulldozer-driven clearing has been completed on lines L-113, L-114 ("Tabaga - Mokhsogollokh"), L-117 ("Mokhsogollokh - Ulakhan-An"), and the 35kV air line "Mokhsogollokh - Bulgunnyakhtakh."
A significant workload is forthcoming for the 10kV air line "Tekhtyur," with 47 poles and 15 km of aged wire set to be replaced with self-supporting insulated wire (SIP). So far, 35 poles have seen updates on this line.
The 0.4kV air lines "Belen'ky" and "Magazin" are undergoing a complete overhaul in the villages of Ulakhan-An and Oi, with 175 poles and nearly 5 km of SIP wire set for replacement on these lines.
According to Alexander Khorodchenko, head of Pokrovsky REP, the district's rapid development necessitates prompt implementation of all planned repairs during the short summer period. This will ensure a stable and reliable power supply throughout the region.
On top of this, repairs will be made to eight transformer substations across the Uulus.
