Energy workers at Rosseti Sibir are working round the clock to address the aftermath of the storm.
In post-hurricane Krasnoyarsk Krai, the local power utility, "Rosseti Sibir' - Krasnoyarskenergo," is tirelessly working round-the-clock to restore electricity, supported by teams from neighboring regions.
Intrepid specialists have joined forces from Kemerovo Oblast, Altai Krai, Tomsk Oblast, along with the republics of Khakassia and Tuva. They've been tackling power line disruptions on high-voltage lines, as well as low-voltage transmission lines and distribution networks across the affected areas.
Often, these tech-savvy experts conduct remote repairs, ensuring electricity reaches hard-to-reach villages and hamlets, without their physical presence. More than trio territories have been placed under close surveillance due to issues with the power transmission lines spanning over 120 kilometers: these remote areas exhibit difficult terrain, with swampy soil and dense forest[1].
Special equipment can struggle to traverse these inhospitable conditions, so the specialists transform wheeled vehicles into tracked ones or transport the machines using heavy-duty trailers to inspect and repair the lines from end to end. Plus, tree debris littering the forest trails means that electricians frequently find themselves hiking on foot to the sites of power line breakage[1][3].
Over 160 repair-and-rescue teams are working tirelessly to clean up the aftermath of the hurricane. Comprising 381 people and 183 vehicles, they're combating this calamity in a united front[5]. The efforts will carry on until complete electrical restoration is achieved.
Residents can receive regular updates on the progress of the work by contacting the support center at 8-800-220-0-220 or 220 (the calls are free). Rest assured, pictures of their noble labors are winging their way to you (courtesy of the company)!
P.S. In the visibility-challenged depths of our forests, driven by the vigilance and roll-up-the-sleeves tenacity of the Krasnoyarsk Krai's electricity warriors, power will once more pulse through the lines, a testament that resilience, grit, and unbreakable spirit help conquer even the fiercest meteorological adversaries.Watch out Mother Nature, we are coming for you!
