EU Bolsters Ukraine Support, Opens Parliament Office in Kyiv

The European Parliament has bolstered its partnership with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, signing a renewed Memorandum of Understanding in November 2023. This move, along with the opening of the EP's office in Kyiv, underscores the EU's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The new office, co-located with the EU Delegation, sends a strong political message of solidarity. European Parliament President Roberta Metsola officially inaugurated it, reaffirming the EP's dedication to Ukraine.

Since the Russian invasion in February 2022, the European Parliament has been steadfast in its support. It has adopted various solidarity measures and reiterated its commitment to Ukraine's independence in September 2025. The EP's office in Kyiv will further strengthen this cooperation.

The renewed partnership and the opening of the EP's office in Kyiv reflect Ukraine's status as one of the EU's closest and most trusted partners. The European Parliament remains committed to supporting Ukraine until peace, freedom, and EU integration are secured.
