Matthias Kreibich, a seasoned professional in the German insurance industry, is set to begin a new chapter in his career. The Baden Municipal Insurance Association (BGV) and BGV Insurance have announced that Kreibich will join their executive boards, taking over the business area previously held by Raimund Herrmann who is retiring from April.
Kreibich's appointment is subject to approval from the relevant supervisory authorities. Once approved, he is expected to start work at the beginning of next year.
Kreibich's career in the insurance sector spans over two decades. He started his journey with the Inter Insurance Group in Mannheim, where he spent 17 years, including four and a half years as board speaker. Prior to his new role, Kreibich managed the group-wide capital investments at SV Sparkassenversicherung.
The Baden Municipal Insurance Association, headquartered in Karlsruhe, is a specialized insurer for municipalities in Baden. Kreibich's extensive experience in capital investments and corporate areas such as accounting and risk management will undoubtedly be valuable assets to the organization.
It's worth noting that Kreibich has also served on the supervisory boards of various Polish subsidiaries of the Inter Group and the BKM Bausparkasse Mainz since 2010.
