Freedom Bank Appoints Nohman Ishaq as Senior Vice President and Head of Business Expansion

Nohman Ishaq, who most recently served as Vice President of Retail Business Development & Corporate Partnership at Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU), brings a wealth of experience to his new role. In his new position, Ishaq will spearhead the implementation of a workplace banking program called Freedom@Work. This initiative, developed in collaboration with an advisory board of local business leaders, aims to partner the bank with local employers to offer tailored financial products and services directly to their employees. The strategy is designed to capture more consumer deposits and deepen local ties, addressing the challenge of competing with larger banks that have extensive branch networks and marketing budgets.

Before joining Freedom Bank, Ishaq worked at SunTrust (now Truist) Bank, Capital One, and Chevy Chase Bank. He is also the Chairman of the Board for the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and the Dulles Area Transportation Association.
