Moers and the High Cost of Burials in Germany

For instance, Moers charges 4,294 euros for a coffin burial in a row grave with 25 years of rest—nearly five times the cost in Berlin, which comes in at 887 euros for the same duration. The typical cost across all major cities in Germany is 2,389 euros, as per the analysis.

If you opt for a burial in a chosen grave, Mainz takes the lead as the costliest city at 4,759 euros for 30 years, while Berlin remains the most budget-friendly at 964 euros for 20 years. The average is a hefty 3,040 euros for a selected grave, making this option the most expensive across the board.

Even with the same period of rest, there's considerable variation: Bonn charges 1,967 euros for 15 years, while Göttingen only sets you back 544 euros. The average fee for an urn grave is 1,207 euros.

For a burial in an urn chosen grave, the costs sit at 3,420 euros for 25 years in Aachen and 450 euros for 10 years in Fürth. Despite the same duration, the differences remain substantial: 2,883 euros for 20 years in Reutlingen, compared to 795 euros in Rostock. The average comes to 1,868 euros.
