Gas-powered equipment maintenance facility to debut in PRO-BIZNES-PARK
Yekaterinburg, Russia — TurboService, a leading player in the manufacturing of high-precision turbo machinery components, is set to expand its operations in Yekaterinburg with a new production complex. The project, valued at 1.23 billion rubles, is a significant boost to the regional economy and underscores Yekaterinberg's growing importance as an industrial hub.
The complex, which will be located within the PRO-BUSINESS-PARK industrial park, will span over a land area of 1.2 hectares and consist of two production buildings with a total area of 3000 sq.m. The new center will primarily focus on producing aircraft engine parts, using cutting-edge technology and equipment for high-precision work, including component restoration, protective coatings, and more.
Oleg Shevchenko, General Director of TurboService, emphasized the strategic importance of this project, stating, "We have reached the production capacity limit on our existing sites and are creating a unique high-tech production that exceeds international standards."
The timeline for the project is well-defined, with construction set to commence in early 2024 and completion expected within 18-24 months. The new complex is projected to begin production by late 2025 or early 2026.
The employment opportunities generated by this project are substantial. Approximately 300 to 400 new jobs are expected to be created, with positions available across various levels, including skilled manufacturing operators, engineers, maintenance staff, administrative roles, and management. The project also includes training programs to enhance the technical skills of local workers, contributing to workforce upskilling.
Beyond direct employment, the complex is expected to stimulate ancillary businesses and services, further amplifying job growth in the region. The project will also strengthen Yekaterinburg’s position as a key industrial center in Russia, boost local supply chains, enhance export potential, and contribute to regional economic stability and growth.
Denis Remezov, General Director of PRO-BUSINESS-PARK, expressed his pleasure that TurboService chose their site for its high-tech production, stating, "The presence of TurboService in the PRO-BUSINESS-PARK demonstrates the maturity of the industrial park, the high quality of our infrastructure, and the effectiveness of our interaction with investors."
This expansion comes in response to the growing demand for gas turbine maintenance in Russia and marks a significant step forward for TurboService in its mission to develop advanced technologies for repairing, restoring, and localizing GTU components.
The new TurboService production complex, situated within the PRO-BUSINESS-PARK industrial park, will primarily focus on manufacturing aircraft engine parts using cutting-edge technology. This expansion, valued at 1.23 billion rubles, is anticipated to generate finance inflow into the regional economy, as well as stimulate energy-intensive manufacturing processes within the industry.
