Global platform elevates 47 legal professionals to partnership and leadership roles on a global scale
In a significant move, global law firm XYZ has announced the promotion of 47 lawyers to partner and director positions, effective January 1, 2021. The promotions span 11 practice groups and represent a diverse range of legal expertise.
London Leads the Way
London, England, is home to a significant number of the promoted lawyers. Sarah Lucey, now in risk advisory/compliance, and Will Alete, who will be working in banking and finance, are among those joining the ranks in the British capital. In Vancouver, Canada, Michael Manhas has been promoted to litigation and disputes, and Aaron Stephenson will be handling bankruptcy, financial restructuring & insolvency/litigation and disputes in Calgary, Canada.
International Diversity
The promotions also reflect the firm's global reach, with appointments in cities such as Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Johannesburg, South Africa. Angela Croker has been promoted to banking and finance in Dubai, while Sa'ood Lahri and Bryce Perrett, both promoted to litigation and disputes, will be based in Johannesburg.

Interestingly, 25 female lawyers were promoted globally, representing 53% of the promotions. This includes Reneé Loiselle, promoted to corporate, M&A and securities in Montreal, Canada, and Katie Chung, who will be working in litigation and disputes in Singapore.
