HG Infra Wins Rs 925 Cr Highway Project in Jharkhand
HG Infra Engineering Ltd has received a significant boost with the appointed date from NHAI for a major highway project management in Jharkhand. The project, a six-lane greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway worth Rs 925.11 crore, was officially approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on September 30, 2025.
The project, awarded under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), spans 28.70 km and must be completed within 730 days. HG Infra's subsidiary will construct this crucial stretch, which will enhance connectivity between the three major cities. Despite posting a 39.2% year-over-year fall in net profit in Q1, with revenue slipping 3% and EBITDA dropping 17.5%, the company's shares have shown resilience, trading flat after touching a day's high of Rs 976.45 on 3rd October. As of 12:30 PM, HG Infra's shares were trading 0.14% lower at Rs 959.50 on NSE.
The awarded highway project management in Jharkhand is expected to provide a significant boost to HG Infra's future prospects. Despite recent financial setbacks, the company's shares have shown strength, indicating investors' confidence in its long-term growth potential.
