High-end jewelry brand, Chow Sang Sang, taps Nuvei for online payment processing and boosts worldwide growth plans.
In a significant move to enhance its digital payments capabilities, Chow Sang Sang, a leading jeweler with over 900 self-run stores across several regions, has chosen Nuvei's global payments platform for its international growth.
The partnership, a key part of Chow Sang Sang's omnichannel strategy, aims to provide Chow Sang Sang's customers with seamless, secure, and fully localized payment experiences. This collaboration will support Chow Sang Sang's digital transformation as global online jewelry sales are projected to rise from $105.6 billion in 2024 to $166 billion by 2029, a 16% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR).
Phil Fayer, Chair and CEO of Nuvei, stated that Nuvei's MSO license and expanding APAC footprint allow it to support the region's most ambitious companies with payments technology built for scale. Nuvei already supports APAC expansion for category leaders such as Shein, Temu, and Charles & Keith.
Through a single integration with Nuvei's platform, Chow Sang Sang gains access to local acquiring in 50 markets. Nuvei supports 150+ currencies and 720 alternative payment methods, ensuring a wide range of options for customers.
Chow Sang Sang's portfolio includes brands like CHOW SANG SANG, PROMESSA, MINTYGREEN, and EMPHASIS. The jeweler operates in Mainland China, the Hong Kong Region, the Macau Region, and the Taiwan Region.
Ms. Genevieve Chow, Chief Brands Officer at Chow Sang Sang, stated that Nuvei's platform, local knowledge, and global reach are crucial for delivering the premium experience their customers expect, both online and in-store. Nuvei's direct connections to global card networks should drive higher approval rates and reduced payment friction.
Nuvei's long-term commitment to the APAC region is evident in its ongoing expansion across Greater China, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. In the U.S. alone, ecommerce sales of jewelry are projected to rise from $22.5 billion to $37.9 billion over the same period.
Several companies globally use Nuvei’s payment platform to scale their operations, including Virgin Atlantic, Curve, and Feeding America, benefiting from increased approval rates, higher transaction volumes, and reduced chargebacks. There is no specific mention of additional companies in Asia planning to join Nuvei's platform in the current data.
Recently, Nuvei obtained a Money Services Operator (MSO) license in Hong Kong, allowing local acquiring and settlement in one of Asia's strategically important markets. This partnership between Chow Sang Sang and Nuvei is set to redefine the digital payments landscape for the jeweler, bringing intelligent infrastructure that matches its brand sophistication.
