Honda's 2025 model Civic e:Hybrid undergoes a revamp, amping up its features and style.
New Honda Civic Facelift and Honda HR-V: A Hybrid-Focused Refresh
Honda has unveiled the refreshed version of its iconic Civic, along with the new Honda HR-V, both boasting a focus on hybrid technology.
The new Civic facelift, now available for purchase, showcases a revamped exterior design. Inside, the black roofliner, new alloy designs, and a selection of fresh colours add a touch of modernity. The front end has been refined with tweaked grilles, a black gloss finish, a titivated bumper, new front spoiler, and the omission of front fogs. The design is more restrained compared to the outgoing Civic, offering a sleeker look.
All trims of the new Civic facelift - Elegance, Sport, and Advance - are equipped with the same 181bhp Hybrid powertrain. Prices range from £33,795 to £38,695. The UK pricing for the new Honda Civic e:HEV starts from £29,595.
The new Honda Civic e:HEV is a hybrid-only model, and it was first debuted back in June last year, with a second 'reveal' in the current news article. The Civic e:Hybrid, revealed more than four years ago, was launched in the UK in 2022.
Honda also revealed the new Honda HR-V in February 2021, and like the Civic, it will only be available with a hybrid powertrain. The Honda HR-V e:HEV will come with a 129bhp version of the two motor e:HEV powertrain, similar to the Jazz e:HEV.
Inside, both the new Civic facelift and the new Honda HR-V share a similar interior layout, featuring a 10.2'' driver display and a 7.0'' infotainment system.
Orders for the new Honda Civic e:HEV in the UK open in July, while the new Civic e:Hybrid in Germany will be available starting early October 2025. Prices in Germany begin at 37,900 euros for the Elegance variant, 38,900 euros for the Sport variant, and 41,400 euros for the Advanced top model.
Last year, Honda gave a sneak peek into the new HR-V, kicking off 2021 with a tease. The new Civic facelift was also revealed, but with a shortage of detail. The UK version of the new Civic was unveiled, but with limited information.
The new Honda Civic facelift and Honda HR-V mark a significant step forward for Honda in its commitment to hybrid technology, offering a fresh, modern look and efficient, eco-friendly powertrains.
