Illegal Employment and Residence Uncovered at Fürstenwalde Construction Site
A recent inspection at a construction site in Fürstenwalde has led to the uncovering of illegal employment and residence issues. On August 13, 2025, the Main Customs Office Frankfurt (Oder) conducted a thorough check of the site. During the inspection, three individuals attempted to express their intent to flee, but were unable to provide valid documents authorizing their stay and work in Germany. This led to criminal proceedings for suspected illegal residence being initiated against them. Additionally, administrative proceedings for illegal employment were opened. The inspection aimed to ensure proper registration of employees for social security, prevent fraudulent receipt of social benefits, check for illegal work due to lack of residence or work permits, and guarantee minimum wages were paid. Investigations are ongoing to address these issues. The inspection at the Fürstenwalde construction site has resulted in the discovery of illegal employment and residence cases. Three individuals face criminal and administrative proceedings. Further investigations are underway to address these matters.
