In the Sverdlovsk region, a significant number of families have benefited from the Maternity Capital scheme within the first six months of this year. According to recent data, over 16,000 families have utilised this financial support, designed for families with two or more children.

One of the primary uses of Maternity Capital in the region has been to improve housing conditions. Over 7,000 families, which is more than half of those who received Maternity Capital this year, have taken advantage of this opportunity to purchase new or secondary housing, pay off mortgages, or renovate existing homes to provide better living conditions for their families.

The remaining funds have been invested in children's education. Families may use the Maternity Capital to pay for daycare, preschool, school fees, or higher education expenses. In the past six months alone, over 3,000 parents have allocated 185.9 million rubles for their children's education.

These uses align with federal regulations on Maternity Capital in Russia, including the Sverdlovsk region. The scheme encourages long-term improvements in the welfare and opportunities for children born in or after 2007.
