In the year 2024, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Emerged as the Best-Selling Figure in Lionel Racing Diecast Collections
Despite participating in just a few stock car races annually, Dale Earnhardt Jr. remains the most beloved figure in racing.
At 49, he participated in a single Nascar Xfinity Series race in 2024, returning to Bristol Motor Speedway and finishing in seventh position. However, this wasn't his only achievement.
Earnhardt rekindled his relationship with long-time sponsor Budweiser, associating with him during his days at Dale Earnhardt Inc. They jointly revived the iconic red No. 8 Chevrolet, adorned with the "E" stripes, for the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway. The announcement sent the internet into a frenzy.
Recently, Lionel Racing unveiled their list of the top-10 selling diecast cars in 2024, and it was no shocker that Earnhardt's No. 8 Budweiser late model claimed the first spot.
Coming in second was Chase Elliott's Hooters paint scheme from his Texas victory. Teammates Kyle Larson (Darlington tribute to Terry Labonte) and William Byron (Daytona 500 victory car) also featured in the top five. Brad Keselowski's Southern 500 win car took fifth place.
Surprisingly, Corey LaJoie's Chili's 'Catch A Rita' Chevrolet, from his time with Spire Motorsports, made it to the top 10. The list was rounded off by Larson's Brickyard 400 win, Elliott's Hooters cars, Tyler Reddick's Jordan Brand Talladega victory car, and Joey Logano's Shell Pennzoil championship-winning car.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s comeback race in the Nascar Xfinity Series was closely followed by Kyle Larson, who celebrated his Darlington tribute to Terry Labonte with a strong finish. Meanwhile, in the world of diecast collectibles, Lionel Racing highlighted Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 8 Budweiser late model as the top-selling car of 2024, outpacing Kyle Larson's Hooters paint scheme from his Texas victory in the second spot.
