JDE Peet's Relocates DACH Headquarters to Sustainable "Lighthouse" Building in Bremen
In an exciting development, global coffee and tea company JDE Peet's has announced its decision to relocate its DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) headquarters to Bremen-Woltmershausen. The move will see the company take up residence in the newly developed "Lighthouse," a seven-story office building in timber construction, totaling around 3,700 square meters.
The "Lighthouse," developed by Justus Grosse, will serve as an important building block in the real estate company's strategy to increase its attractiveness as an employer. JDE Peet's will be the sole tenant of the development, with around 300 employees set to make the move.
JDE Peet's aims to foster creativity and innovation in its new work environment, while also prioritizing the well-being of employees. The company intends to provide modern, sustainable workplaces and more space for daily coffee passion.
The "Lighthouse" boasts several eco-friendly features, including energy-efficient systems, green technologies such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems, and the use of recycled or sustainably sourced materials. The building also features a green roof with photovoltaic systems.
The move to the Tabakquartier is intended to make existing employees feel more connected to their own brands and the product coffee. It is also expected to help inspire new talents for the company.
Burkhard Bojazian, managing partner of Justus Grosse, expressed excitement about welcoming JDE Peet's as a tenant in the Tabakquartier and contributing to Bremen's economic attractiveness. Uschi Wagener, General Manager of JDE Peet's, stated that the move to the Tabakquartier is a commitment to Bremen as a location.
The relocation is planned for the first quarter of 2026, with JDE Peet's current DACH headquarters located in the Langemarckstraße in the Old Bremen Neustadt. The new location in the Tabakquartier is expected to offer a vibrant and productive work environment that supports both business success and social responsibility.
