Global Vision Enters Retail Market with Oradea Retail Plaza Project
Global Vision, a leading investment and development real estate platform in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), has announced its first entry into the retail sector with a commercial project in Oradea, northwest Romania. The project, named Oradea Retail Plaza, will be located in the southern part of the city with direct access to the ring road.
The Oradea Retail Plaza project spans more than 25,500 square meters and is situated on a 2.6-hectare plot in southern Oradea. The development will feature a commercial gallery of over 1,500 sqm, offering space for national and international brands.
The retail plaza will be anchored by the ATAC Hiper Discount, a discount hypermarket operated by Auchan, enhancing the site's retail mix and customer draw. Auchan Romania's store formats include classic hypermarkets, supermarkets, the Auchan Go smart store, and Simply by Auchan franchise stores. The portfolio includes 8 ATAC Hiper Discount hypermarkets, almost 400 MyAuchan ultra-proximity stores, and the Auchan.ro online store.
This investment supports Global Vision's strategy to capitalize on growing opportunities in Romania's retail market, which continues to attract numerous international retail brands, driven by expanding consumer demand and moderate market saturation, especially in smaller cities like Oradea.
