Introducing Susan Howe, the New Chief Executive Officer of Weber Shandwick Collective

Here's Your Fresh Take:

Say hello to the new boss at The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC), but don't expect a major shake-up just yet. Susan Howe took the hot seat as CEO on Dec 2nd, and with her 29-year history at the communications agency, she's no stranger to the office. She's worked her way up from regional general manager to global head of consumer marketing, even holding the unique roles of chief collaboration officer and chief growth officer before becoming agency president in 2021.

Gail Heimann, a marketing icon, announced her retirement earlier this year, but it appears Howe is sticking around for a while longer. In fact, as of April 2025, there's no new CEO for TWSC officially announced.

Good ol' Gail, though, is still calling the shots — according to the latest information, she's still the CEO, with her retirement planned for 2025. Meanwhile, Greg Prager, the interim EMEA CEO at Weber Shandwick, has moved into a leadership role for a new corporate affairs unit. On another note, Kate Bullinger heads up TWSC's business transformation division, focusing on financial communications and organizational change.

While The Weber Shandwick Collective is still sailing with Gail at the helm, it's worth mentioning that George Coleman, former CEO of Current Global (a Weber Shandwick-owned company), has taken over as CEO at The PHA Group. With Coleman's background of founding and leading Current Global before joining PHA, it looks like they're in good hands. But, back to TWSC, it seems Susan Howe is aiming to keep the ship on course for now.
