The Dongfeng T5 EVO, a compact SUV under the ForThing brand, made a splash at the Chengdu Auto Show with the unveiling of its unique Goddess edition. This special edition, known for its pink exterior and interior, stood out among the crowd.

The standard T5 EVO version starts at 103,000 yuan ($15,500), but the price for the Goddess edition is yet to be announced. ForThing, a division of Dongfeng Motor's Liuzhou branch, is aiming to appeal to a younger demographic with its "Colorful Renovation Plan," which includes the introduction of trendy colors such as warm orange, charm blue, and peaceful green.

The Goddess edition features a nearly full pink steering wheel, pink air condition frames, pink seat sewing, pink seatbelts, and other pink details, making it a stylish choice for those who appreciate a bold look.

Powering the T5 EVO is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, producing around 194 hp and 285 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The SUV boasts advanced safety features like 6 airbags and various driver assistance sensors. Fuel consumption is approximately 6.6–6.8 L/100 km, with a top speed of around 180 km/h.

The T5 EVO's design is sharp and sporty, with a racy front, a racy bonnet, a black roof, large mirrors, dark gray wheels, and four exhaust pipes at the back. The SUV measures 4569 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1690 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715 mm.

ForThing, previously known for producing MPVs, sedans, and SUVs that were generally considered boring, is now trying to shake off that image and position the T5 EVO as a sporty and confident vehicle. The brand's lion-shaped logo symbolizes bravery and self-confidence.

For more precise details about the Goddess edition, including unique features and specifications, it is recommended to check the latest official Dongfeng or ForThing announcements or localized dealership sources, as this edition may be a market-specific variant with special trims and packages.
