Issues Abound in Contractor Arrangements
In the heart of Siberia, the city of Yakutsk is currently undergoing a significant transformation, as the repair campaign of numerous streets continues under the coordination and execution of MBI "Mainstroy".
Today, a meeting took place in the city hall to discuss the quality check of the ongoing repairs. MBI "Mainstroy", the main entity responsible for the repair of road network objects in Yakutsk, was present. The meeting revealed that a total of 70 complaints had been filed during the quality check. However, it was reassuring to hear that most of the identified defects have already been rectified.
MBI "Mainstroy" is not only responsible for the coordination and execution of the repair campaign but also serves as the general contractor for the capital repair of road network objects in Yakutsk. This large-scale endeavour involves the repair of multiple streets across the city.
The repair campaign is an extensive undertaking, with many streets currently being repaired as part of the campaign. Despite the challenges, MBI "Mainstroy" is determined to complete the work by mid-October, when the remaining defects are planned to be fixed.
However, it's not all smooth sailing. Three major cases have arisen where the parties cannot reach an agreement. These disputes, involving the construction company, the customer (local government or contracting authority), and the supervisory authority, have escalated to court.
The municipal budgetary institution "Mainstroy" conducted a quality check of repairs and construction in Yakutsk, aiming to ensure the highest standards are met. Despite these challenges, the organisation remains committed to delivering a better infrastructure for the people of Yakutsk.
