The acquisition preserves the authenticity of the Pastore's retail brand while consolidating Saval's position in the wholesale food distribution sector focused on Italian cuisine[2].
Brian Saval, president of 1932 Specialty Produce & Meat and EVP of Saval Foodservice, expressed pride in carrying on the Pastore family's legacy. Mike Pastore Sr., owner of Pastore's, grew up near Saval Foods, adding a personal touch to this business collaboration[3].
