KazMunayGas, TPAO Explore Energy Cooperation in Astana

Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of KazMunayGas, recently met with Ahmet Türkoġlu, CEO of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), in Astana. The meeting, held during the KAZENERGY Forum, explored potential cooperation between the two companies, aiming to bolster energy security and stimulate economic growth in both Kazakhstan and Turkey.

Khassenov expressed confidence that working together would create new growth points for both nations' economies. Joint working groups are currently analyzing the geological potential of subsurface areas in Kazakhstan, with introductory sessions held for TPAO specialists on promising KazMunayGas projects.

Both companies appreciate the prospects for collaboration in geological exploration, hydrocarbons production, technology exchange, and ecological solutions. The next steps involve joint exploration and project development, technology exchange, and strengthening energy trade relations, with specific timelines and projects to be defined in upcoming agreements.
