Popken Fashion Group Acquires "HAPPYsize" Brand, Strengthening Its Position in Plus-Size Fashion
The Popken Fashion Group, a family-run business based in Rastede, Lower Saxony, has announced the acquisition of the "HAPPYsize" brand. This move comes as the company continues to specialize in plus-size fashion, offering collections from four other brands: Ulla Popken, Laurasøn, Studio Untold, and JP1880.
The sale of the "HAPPYsize" brand was the result of a sales process and has been approved by the bodies of self-administration, including the creditors' committee. The sale does not affect the brand's current operations or services.
K-Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG, the parent company of the KLiNGEL group, has been in self-administration insolvency proceedings since May 2023. The "HAPPYsize" brand is no longer a part of K-Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG.
The Popken Fashion Group did not purchase any current phone or contact information as part of the "HAPPYsize" brand sale. The sale was announced by Klingel's press office.
With the acquisition, the Popken Fashion Group continues to position itself as a leading global retailer in plus-size fashion. The brand has launched a plus-size fashion marketplace powered by Mirakl technology, integrating top brands such as Ulla Popken and YOEK. This marketplace attracts over 25 million annual visitors, reflecting strong consumer demand for inclusive sizing.
Popken Fashion Group's future plans emphasize further growth in online retail as their primary revenue channel.
