Krasnodar Airport's access road will undergo a full closure starting from November 22.
The bridge on Fadeeva Street, leading to Krasnodar Airport, will undergo repairs starting on September 20. This much-needed restoration project will continue until late November.
During the preparatory works, traffic on the bridge will be partially closed. Lanes leading towards the airport will be closed, and two-way traffic will be organized on the city-bound lanes. Temporary lanes and sidewalks with road signs will appear on the M-4 Don highway during the repairs to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians.
Specialists involved in the restoration have been working diligently to prepare for the project. Old spans and intermediate supports will be removed, and new ones installed. The tram contact network, sidewalks, drainage, power cables, and bridge retaining walls will be dismantled as part of the repairs. Overhead power lines, communication cables, and greenery will also be relocated or removed during this phase.
Noise barriers will be installed during the reconstruction to minimise disruption to the local community. It is worth noting that the repairs will not result in a full closure of the bridge. Tram No. 7 will continue to operate along its regular route during the preparatory works.
On November 22, the bridge will be fully closed for the next phase of work. However, temporary lanes and sidewalks with road signs will be put in place to maintain access to the airport and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
The names of the specialists involved in the project are not publicly disclosed. They will renew the surface of six lanes, sidewalks, and all engineering networks, as well as the tram contact network during the reconstruction.
The community is advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the road signs and instructions of the traffic police during this period. The bridge on Fadeeva Street's restoration project is a significant step towards improving the city's infrastructure and ensuring the safety of its residents and visitors.
