"Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Factory" ordered to pay 181 million rubles to Samara metallurgists

The Arbitration Court of Krasnoyarsk Krai ruled in favor of AO "Samarsky Metallurgichesky Zavod" against AO "Krasnoyarsky Mashtinostroitelny Zavod". The Samara Metallurgical Plant is seeking over 181 million rubles from the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant.

Delve into the details of this legal feud between the two entities that transpired in March of this year. According to court documents, the two firms entered into a contract in October 2023 for the supply of semi-finished aluminum alloy products. Deliveries of plates, stampings, and sheets were made from October 2024 to January 2025 without prior payment.

The Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant, however, failed to settle the bill in full and now owes the Metallurgical Plant a substantial 171 million rubles. Apart from this principal debt, there are penalty fees and other sums stemming from the alleged misuse of funds amounting to 7.4 million rubles.

Twenty-nine days after the lawsuit was filed, the court swiftly reached a verdict on May 6. The decision, in a nutshell, directs the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant to pay up.
