Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, one of India's leading law firms, has announced a significant expansion of its leadership team. The firm has elevated seven partners to equity partnership and appointed a new partner in its corporate practice, Abhishek Kalra, as part of a broader expansion plan.
Abhishek Kalra, with over 12 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance, will be joining the Mumbai office. He started his legal career as an associate at Naik Naik & Co and has also worked with AZB & Partners and Desai & Diwanji. After a stint at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a principal associate from 2020 to 2023, he served as counsel at Trilegal for over two years.
The seven partners elevated to equity status span key offices in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru, reinforcing leadership in significant practice areas such as general corporate, disputes, private equity, real estate, and corporate governance. The promotions were spread across offices in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas operates from key business hubs like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, GIFT City, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. The firm has a workforce of over 1,100 lawyers and 220 partners working from multiple offices.
