Lloyds Bank Strengthens Position in Voluntary Carbon and Nature Markets with New Centre of Excellence
Lloyds Bank has launched a new centre of excellence for Voluntary Carbon and Nature Markets (VCNM), aiming to guide the bank’s corporate clients through the evolving landscape of these markets. The centre, based in London, will provide expert advisory within Lloyds’ Sustainability & Client Advisory division, focusing on enhancing market credibility, transparency, and alignment with science-based targets.
The VCNM centre is poised to play a critical role in assisting clients with decarbonization efforts by leveraging voluntary carbon markets and nature-based solutions. This initiative supports clients in achieving their environmental and net-zero goals, as part of Lloyds Bank's commitment to supporting clients in their pursuit of sustainability objectives.
The co-Heads appointed to lead this centre are Emily Martin and Gabriella (Gaby) Carden. Emily Martin, who has been with Lloyds for over 10 years, was recently Director of Sustainability & ESG Finance, while Gabriella Carden joined Lloyds in 2011 and was most recently Director of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM), Sustainability.
