Rakesh Jallipally has taken on a new challenge, joining Pepe Jeans London as the Chief Executive Officer for India, starting from July 24, 2025. With over 18 years of experience in fashion, retail, and consumer tech, Jallipally is well-equipped to lead the iconic denim brand into its next phase of growth.

Jallipally's career in the fashion industry began at Raymond Ltd., where he managed retail operations and sales across South India. He then moved on to Arvind Fashions Ltd., where he spent nearly a decade driving the growth and transformation of well-known brands like US Polo Assn (USPA), Flying Machine, and Ed Hardy. During his tenure, he held both CEO and COO roles.

In addition to his success at Arvind Fashions, Jallipally was instrumental in launching AZORTE at Reliance Retail. His most recent role was as Vice President at Flipkart, where he launched and scaled Spoyl, a Gen Z-focused fashion platform, and led the men’s fashion category.

Jallipally's appointment comes at an exciting time for Pepe Jeans London. The brand, born on London's Portobello Road in 1973, remains devoted to creating the world's most exciting denim-led fashion. With music, culture, fashion, London, and denim as its core values, Pepe Jeans London is inspired by the diversity and mix of cultures in London.

Jallipally holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Lucknow, specializing in Marketing and Strategy, combining strong academic credentials with deep operational and strategic expertise in the fashion and consumer tech landscape.
